Rich recently graduated from Penn State University with a degree in broadcast journalism. In college he covered sports for Penn State's ComRadio as a part of the college of communications.
Rich has a passion for sports and storytelling and aspires to have a career as a sports broadcaster or talk show host after college.
Rich feels that the media plays a vital role of connecting members of the community to the world around them in all aspects of life, including sports. This is ultimately what made Rich change his major to broadcast journalism in his sophomore year of college. While at Penn State Rich is constantly emphatic at becoming a more professional, effective, well-rounded journalist and storyteller both on camera/microphone and behind the scenes.
Rich covers sports in a manner of ways for Penn State's student-run radio network, ComRadio. He does play-by-plays and operates the sound board for various teams including the two-time defending champion Nittany Lion wrestling team. He also participates in talk shows including the Men's Basketball pregame show and The Road to Radio City NFL draft coverage. Furthermore, Rich has experience in reporting news for both TV and Radio through his journalism classes.
In the summer of 2012 Rich interned at Bunim/Murray productions in New York City where he learned what it takes to run a media organization on a day-to-day basis and picked up many valuable aspects of the television media industry.
